Hammond: From an English surname which was derived from either the Germanic given name Haimund which meant "home protection" or else from the Old Norse given name Hámundr which meant "high protection".

Dad's Birthday
Dad turned 50 on October 3rd. We did our best at doing a surprise party. Dad really didn't know it was coming. Grandmary, Grandpa, Mark, Dani, Blake, Brady, McKenna, Isabelle, Kelly, Shawna, James, Heidi, Katie, Ed, Lynda, Renae, Ryan, Mom, and the three little girls. Meagan, Derek, Brooklyn and Emma skyped in for a little while which was great. Sharon and Eric came over for a little while. We had a blast. We painted all the kid's hair white and painted wrinkles on them. We also had a walker for Dad so he can keep walking. We decorated the whole place and it looked great. We had so much fun. There wasn't anything better.

Yay, yay, yay for the pictures Jackie! I can see so much better than on Skype. I didn't even know that your hair was painted!
